When I was studying for the Master Gardener’s program, I attended a lecture by Don Jacobs on woodland gardens. This was my first introduction to the world of Trilliums. I enjoyed his lecture so much that I purchased his book, “Trilliums in Woodland Garden- American Treasures” and asked him to autograph it after the program. The Trillium Towers Center is on the 15th floor of a landmark building that overlooks the heart of the vibrant Warner Center business district. It's located in Woodland Hills in the San Fernando Valley and is given a prestigious appeal by stylish architecture and a campus-like setting.
The name trillium has graced the marquees of restaurants, country clubs, resorts, software companies, consulting firms, and numerous other businesses. The "woodland" trillium is a worthy subject of botanical study. You may look up pictures and information that is available in many books on wild flowers in the library, or make a woodland trek in search of one on a nice spring day.
